The favicon is a pictograph of a tree, 木 (U+6728). It translates to “tree” in many languages – among others, it is representative of one of the Five Phases in Chinese philosophy.
It also is used to mean the “tree” data structure, and was chosen in part to reference the L-system trees used as a header image.
